Sažetak
The main goal of this paper is to compare English phraseological units containing personal names with their Croatian translation equivalents. In order to do this, it was necessary to provide some general theoretical background. Thus, the first part of the paper is focused on definitions and relations of PUs from the points of view of different authors. The second part of the paper is a contrastive analysis of English phraseological units with personal names and their formal correspondents in Croatian. The relations between them are determined based on the criteria of their lexical and structural correspondence or difference.
