Sažetak
Everything in the material world, including the whole Universe, is in motion. In some point of view we may say that planets and stars dance in their own rhythm. Dance is a changeable and maybe the most complex cultural and historical issue. In dance, body is the main instrument that makes an expression through a movement. In the early phase of mental development of a humankind, two very important social components were emphasized ; religion and magic. The human population, at the beginning of their existence, was considerably helpless in front of natural forces, cosmic and weather manifestations. They were using dance over the ages as an expression of the deepest aspects of life, relationship with the Earth, the animal and plant kingdoms and the connection with Divine. Sachs believes that omnipotence of dance broke after it became an art in a limited sense, focused on influencing people, and not demons and ghosts. On the contrary, others saw such orientation - a dance becoming an art - as giving a new, very important dimension to art - it became a tool for communication. In the animal world, dance represents a form of social communication. Elements of dance between animal species appear as a reason for attracting females, challenges of fight or threat, or they describe ceremonies of greeting and reconcilement. In the principles of cybernetics and system theory, a human body represents a system. If we put the system of one body in the relationship with more bodies, an individual body becomes the sub-system that interacts with other bodies in the manner of expressing the whole system. Dance connects the exterior, formal and physical with the interior, informal and spiritual. It is the universal language, it doesn’ t know cultural or national limits, it is a language of body and soul, emotional and spiritual experience.
