Sažetak
We assume that the incidence of IBD was not underestimated in Croatian prospective study. The health-care system in Croatia consists of health centres, staffed predominantly by general practitioners (GPs) and hospitals. We found a higher incidence of IBD in urban population, with the exception of the island region. The island population is predominantly rural, but tourism has brought changes in lifestyle, which is now more like urban style.
