Sažetak
The paper describes comparable characteristics of a few industrial computer networks, the so-called fieldbusses. Some standardised protocols (PROFIBUS, CAN) and some manufacturer-specific protocols (SUCONET, uNET) are chosen for comparison. Basic terms from the process field level are explained. Problems in development and implementation of the control systems based on these fieldbusses are considered, as well as the availability of different manufacturers' software and hardware support.
