Sažetak
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) has been considered as one of the top pollutant species in the atmosphere that are well recognized by their harmful effect on human health and the environment. The formation of nitrogen oxides in combustion processes is a topic of growing public concern and subject to increasingly stringent regulations. The control of NOx emissions is therefore one of the main tasks for industrialized countries in order to reduce these emissions from the dominant combustion sources. A new model for prediction of NOx formation in combustion processes was implemented into the FIRE CFD code by means of user-functions, which are programmed in FORTRAN.
