Sažetak
Transient temperature fields in solid cylinders are a subject of interest in various technical fields, particularly those associated with nuclear fuel elements and electrically heated rods. The paper presents a practical method for the analysis of such fields which consists of the numerical integration of the inverse Fourier transform of the system response characteristic. The method has the advantage of high accuracy, which is similar of that of the analytical method. It can be applied to considerably more complicated heat transfer transient problems than the analytical method, with no solution stability problems as the occur in finite elements analysis.
