Sažetak
Health condition of forest trees is influenced by various ecologicaland stand factors. While earlier degradation of forest ecosystems was attributed to individual stress agents (pest gradation, climatic changes, deposition of acid compounds from the atmosphere, etc.), in recent years, there is a growing tendency to attribute damage of particular tree species to various factors responsible for health condition of forests. In such a way, it is possible to separate the impact of stand conditions from the influence of other biotic and abiotic factors and, based on that insight, carry out satisfactory forest management of forest stands. This paper aims at presenting comparative survey of crown defoliation and age, height above sea-level and stand exposition. The link between crown condition of particular tree species to some of researched parameters exists, but it is not possible to draw any general conclusions.
