Sažetak
The share of the sport-specific offer is still not sufficient in Croatia since there is a gap between "what the tourists want" and "what is offered". Starting from the previous development of tourism in Croatia on the one hand and from the relevant factors on the other, an assessment can be made of the future development of sports tourism in Croatia. To outline the concept of the sports-recreational offer in Croatian tourism as the basis the analysis under the title Stavovi i potrošnja turista u Hrvatskoj (The attitude and tourist spending in Croatia) was taken. It can be concluded that there exist in Croatia numerous possibilities for the development of various forms of sports tourism. Possibilities for the development of competitive sports tourism, winter and summer sports-recreational tourism are presented.
