Sažetak
We analyze HLA antigens in the native population of MS patients in Gorski kotar, Croatia, an area of a high risk of this disease. The patients were selected with the application of the Poser diagnostic criteria for MS. The control group consisted of unrelated natives of Gorski kotar, chosen at random who were not hosts of hereditary diseases. The distribution of HLA antigens was tested with relative risk, RR, test and with the analysis of etiologic, EF, and preventive, PF, factor. Statistical significance was determined with X2 test. The native MS patients of Gorski kotar are different from the control group only in the antigen DR2, X2=6.34. This patients show an increased RR for the antigens A1, RR 2.29 ; B7, RR 2.25 ; DR2, RR 3.04 ; and DR9, RR 6.0. The highest value of EF was found for the antigens DR2, EF 0.34, and the highest value of PF was found for the antigens A10, PF 0.11
