Sažetak
Many neurological rating scales are nodays widely used for evaluation of various determinants in MS patients. None of them is universaly accepted because its inperfections. At our study we were tried to find adaptive criteria for assessment of disability and handicap in MS patients using Incapacity Scale and Expanded Disability Status Scale, Kurtzke and Clinical Scoring Systems for Disability and Handicap, Poser. In this purpose we analysed 63 MS patients at various degrees of illness. Employing the adequate statistical methods, we found an accetable correlation between those scales in the assessment of disability and handicap of MS patients. According to various simptomatology of the disease itself we suggest the complementary using of both scales rather than independently using of single rating scale.
