Sažetak
The goal of this paper is to address the topic of uncertainties and pressures that specific concept of uniform modernization and progress sets on individual, group, national and global levels since the late 19th century. Neo-liberal ideology and its political project of free market economy is still a major force of globalization processes that have harmful consequences for the world. Moreover, rediscovery of cultural and religious identities and differences were seen as an issue that can lead to “ the clash of civilizations” . Therefore, some possibilities (including religion) for the peaceful dialogue instead of clashes are sketched to overcome this unipolar global economic context and monistic, “ mono-essential” notion of culture.
