Sažetak
The paper gives an overview of preparations for the EU membership Croatia made in 2005. Apart of being encompassed by the SAP process, Croatia is seen as a Mediterranean country. Reaching the level of internal readiness by the end of 2007 and full membership in 2009, is a target date for the EU integration in Croatia. Even more, the objective is that Croatia becomes fully prepared to assume all rights and obligations associated with membership in the EU and that it successfully takes its position as a new member state.
