Sažetak
The Republic of Croatia is a relatively small European state situated in the region through which the armies, merchants and tourists have been passing since time immemorial. Although the number and the structure of those passing through the Croatian territory or settling on it for longer or shorter period have changed, this region has always been interesting not only to travelers, but also to the rulers of the surrounding countries, who were eager to assume it into their empires. A special attractiveness of this area is due to a large part of the Adriatic Sea with its countless islands, which make a global tourist rarity, while due to its submarine treasure inspires many travelers for theft.
