Sažetak
Aim of the study is to present early results of arthroscopic footprint reconstruction using transosseous suture anchor technique for rotator cuff repairs. Material and Methods Twenty six patients were operated using arthroscopic transosseous suture anchor technique. There were 16 men and 10 women with average age of 55 years. An average follow up was 18 months (12 to 32 months). All patients were evaluated using Constant score. Results All patients were satisfied with postoperative results. An average Constant score was 85 points. The size of tears were Bernageau type I or II. There were several suture breakages in the beginning using metal anchor and Ethibond suture. There was no postoperative complications. Discussion / Conclusion This technique enables a surgeon to re-establish the rotator cuff footprint and therefore improve healing and mechanical strength of repaired tendons. Early results show favorable clinical outcome and call for further evaluation.
