Sažetak
This paper discusses the historical background of the legends on Cadmus and Heracles. These stories are recognized as the reminiscence on ancient search for ores in the areas outside the Aegean world. Legends on Cadmus and Heracles symbolize Bronze-Age search of ores (especially copper) and point to Mycenaean journeys to the west (in this case Illyria).
