Sažetak
The article is the part of the book about housing question in Europe, in which capitalist and transitional countries are compared through the housing optics. In the article the authors analyse housing policy in Croatia through ownership, house building, demand-offer, housing policy and privatisation in housing. The conclusions show general bettering of housing situation, but also decrease in house building, privatisation problems and huge losts in housing stock in the parts of the country damaged by war effects. Housing itself, is analysed as the element of the quality of life.
