Sažetak
For decades, the world petroleum industry has been dealing with the questions of how to recover additional oil after reaching economical production. Another question is can Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods compensate for the lack of new oil discoveries by exploration and offset production. This article covers several method of novel enhanced oil recovery referred to as unconventional or novel enhanced oil recovery processes. These processes are: Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery (MEOR), Electrical and Electromagnetic Heating, Oil Mining and Nuclear Explosive Fracturing to recover oil and gas. The aplication of these methods is generally not considered commercial except, under very specific unusuak circumstances but, they are a contribution to the new energy technology.
