Sažetak
In line with global energy ecological trends, the Republic of Croatia is striving to bring to life sustainable development strategy. Cogeneration is one of acceptable technological solutions for energy conservation. Its application makes sense everywhere where thermal and electrical energy are used simultaneously, in separate processes. Since this is the case at the Žutica field, it is worth to consider the possibility of cogeneration at that locality. All theoretical and practical factors that, from the technical and economic aspect, describe the justification of for transfer to such technology were analyzed. The analysis pointed out the short selection of acceptable solutions that were discussed almost down to the level of preparation of elemnts for pre-investment study.
