Sažetak
Functional properties of textiles are an added value today. One of the possible funcionalization is application of UV absorbers during finishing and laundering processes. This investigation is focused on the application of UV absorbers during laundering of white and pink coloured fabrics in the repeating cycles. Cotton, PES/cotton and PES as white and pink coloured fabrics were laundered with pure standard detergent and with addition of UV absorbers (UVAs), fluorescent brightening agents (FBA) and their mixture. The influence of UVAs and FBA on the UV protection properties was investigated after repeating laundering cycles: 1, 5, 10, 15 and 25 times at 40  C. UV radiation blocking ability of textiles was improved with addition of UV absorbers as well as FBA in detergent. There is significant impact of colour, fabric type and laundering cycles on the protection quality. Cumulative effect of UVAs and FBA during laundering caused the change in shade of pastel pink coloured fabrics.
