Sažetak
Social and economic differences between "east" and "west" of Europe before the dramatic political changes that began in the end of 80ties and the diverging economic fortunes of central and east European countries in the 90ties, particularly towards the end of this decade, can explain the differences in cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
