Sažetak
Information extraction methods can be implemented for the purpose of retrieving financial information published by the securities exchanges in an autonomous manner. This can allow for additional competitive advantage of the brokerage and financial services firms to provide their clients with additional service value and better timeliness of their decision making processes. Due to the increased dynamics of the business environment and financial system, financial services firms in Croatia implement business intelligence solutions that improve the quality of decision-making processes. These solutions depend highly on the quality and timeliness of financial information. This paper presents an information management agent for Croatian capital markets, CroSE, for acquisition of financial information about transactions on both stock markets in Croatia. The agent uses different methods for information extraction based on the format of data published by the information source. This tool enables financial service firms to improve their quality of service and profitability through improved flow of financial information used for investment decisions and projections of financial trends in both Croatian capital markets.
