Sažetak
Authors discuss their experiences of � writing and journalism workshop� with children under difficult circumstances. The workshop continue through several years and is based on work with children who refugee during the war in Croatia. The goals of this program are several. This workshop teaches, helps personal development, and enhances creativity. The basic activity in this group is expressing one� s thoughts and feelings in writing. Writing should not be perceived as an obligation, but a game, challenge and joy. The topic could, if needed, be directed to a possible traumatic or a war experience, so authors discuss use of creative techniques in treatment. This type of work proved to be useful in therapeutic sense and for facilitating group dynamics, increasing cooperativeness, presenting common accomplishments, developing trust and giving support.
