Sažetak
A new framework for an image coding approach in which the source and channel coding is integrated in a unique procedure has been presented. Image compression is based on the quantization of DFT coefficients and error control coding is based on the real/complex-number (N,M) code specified with zeros in the time domain or with roots in the frequency domain. Since impulse errors in the frequency domain appear as interfering sinusoids in the time domain which can be described by deterministic autoregressive (AR) models, nearly nonstationary AR stochastic models are analyzed. Therefore, the decoding problem is reduced to the AR parameters estimation. We have analyzed two decoding alghorithms: Berlekamp-Massey algoritam (BMA) and a minimum-norm alghorithm (MNA). A super-resolution feature of MNA method has been obviously confirmed in an image coding example.
