Sažetak
This paper examines possible variations of the flat and pitched roof regarding building technology and type of materials available, commonly used in Croatia. Emphasis is placed on the optimal solution including correlations among particular functional roof parts: thermal protection, waterproofing, covering, protective layers, sloping layer etc. This paper presents building technology, incorporation of materials, and the analysis of properties and costs of particular materials, and cost and durability of the built roof. Basic investigation concerns the comparison of particular solutions and their cost-effectiveness in terms of durability, energy efficiency and simplicity of construction for conventional and contemporary building concepts.
