Sažetak
Project DRUZBA-ADRIA integrated oil terminal Omisalj on the island Krk as loading terminal for crude oil without any previous environmental survey. Such project is extremely environmentaly unfriendly because arriving tankers are unloading ballast water prior to arrival, unloading inert gas at the terminal in Omisalj and departing loaded with crude oil. Ballast water and inert gas dicsharge are evident because there are no facilities for reception and treatment at the terminal. Likelihood of oil spill could be computed based on statistical data about world tankers fleet, crude oil transportation by sea and registered crude oil spills.
