Sažetak
There is no data on the average content of Hg in forested, unpolluted area in Croatia. Evaluation of effectiveness of natural factors, like mineralization, lithology, topography, hydrology, or human impact by the short mining event on Hg distribution, will be interpreted by use of GIS analysis. Spatial GIS analysis has shown that maximum concentrations are found in soils above Middle Triassic dolomites and close to the borders with Permo-Carboniferous sandstones. The first preliminary results indicate predominance of natural factors over man influence.
