Sažetak
The objective of this research is the development and application of the model which could very reliably measure the level of effectiveness of traffic enforcement in a road section or an area under the jurisdiction of a police station or department. The development of measurement of effectiveness, referred to as the police effectiveness index or the effectiveness index, is achieved by using structural time series regression modeling techniques. The model develops relationships by connecting casualty crashes, which occur over a certain period on a certain road section or road network with monthly variations in variables which represent exposure to traffic accidents, enforcement activities and other factors.
