Sažetak
Lightning overvoltages transferred from the high-voltage system through the generator transformer to medium-voltage circuit of the power plant are calculated. The determination of transformer capacitances is described. A close lightning strike at high-voltage transmission line 220 kV is simulated. Calculated transferred overvoltages at the transformer have much higher magnitudes and frequencies then overvoltages at the generator. Overvoltages at the transformator are even higher when the generator is disconnected. A generator damps the magnitudes and lowes the frequencies of overvoltages due to its high capacity.
