Sažetak
An algorithm for minimisation in 2D space is proposed. Approximation by elliptic paraboloid is used within a step of iterative extreme search. Efficiency of the proposed algorithm is assessed in a selected test example. The algorithm is then applied in the optimisation of structural reinforcements in textile products. In a representative example of buttonhole reinforcement optimal geometric parameters are evaluated. Objective function to be minimised in the process represents an acceptable balance between opposed criteria of stress and material consumption. Stress analysis is done using plane stress finite element model. In such a way, design or selection of structural reinforcements in textile products, at least on the level of simplified theoretical model, is based on application of rational methods of engineering analysis. Finally, the proposed theoretical-numerical model is discussed in terms of applicability in parameter setting on buttonholer in garment production.
