Sažetak
Results are presented of partial investigations in developing a new method of 3D construction of basic garment cut. Previously published investigations describe the first step in developing the method, in which a computer-assisted 3D construction of a basic garment cut was applied on a virtual body model. The following step includes comprehensive investigations aimed at determining a method of transforming the 3D cutting pattern segment contours into 2D segments, as the first step in transforming the 3D cutting patterns into a 2D cut. Final part of the investigations, presented in this paper, is based on establishing a method for 3D transformations of 2D segments into the same chain-linking plane, into individual 2D cutting patterns. Transformations of each individual 2D segment are done in steps, applying 3D matrix transformations. Since numerous matrix transformations have to be performed on each segment, complex 3D matrix transformations have to be defined for each segment. Computer application used to perform the transformation of each segment in a single step is used for the purpose.
