Sažetak
In the period of 1982-2004, a sample of 51 men died suddenly due to physical exercise. Nine of them were older than 65. In 8 out of 9 coronary heart disease was found by autopsy. Only one had sympthoms of chest pain and MI was found on the autopsy. All of them had thickness of the left ventricul wall 15-25 mm. A medical examination for all elderly persons is essential before exercise including clinical examination, ECG, exercise test and echocardiogram.
