The review of the tamburica ensembles tradition in Croatia in the 19th and the 20th c. is followed by a more detailed analysis of the regional and national aspects of the Zlatni Dukati neotraditional ensemble and the ways and contexts of the growth of their popularity in Croatia at the beginning of the 1990s.
