Sažetak
This paper proposes the security model to be applied in hybrid e-learning systems. Through its extensive application a secure environment for both data and users in higher education institutions can be assured. Furthermore, requirements inherent to current e-learning systems are defined with a view to protecting the user's identity, eliminating potential ambiguity during data content transfer and ensuring a secure environment. Finally, the extent to which current e-learning standards have addressed the identity and data integrity issues is considered. Whereas in this paper security refers to methods and means of protecting data integrity through particular security policy, user privacy has been defined as the possibility of establishing one's private space within which users can control the terms related to sharing their own information with other users.
