Sažetak
The aim of this talk is to briefly review some aspects of structural investigations that are rather surface- than bulk-related and to show how structural information obtained with atomic precision and resolution may be combined with modern photoemission studies in order to asses all important factors that influence structural features of surfaces and ultrathin films. Such an approach is extremely important for the emerging nanosciences and nanotechnologies where ultrathin metallic films have very significant role.
