Sažetak
Erythropoietin, also known as EPO, is an acidic glycoprotein hormone, growth factor which regulate the proliferation and differentiation of erythroid progenitor cells. It is produced by the kidney and to lesser extent by liver, macrophages and epithelial blood wall cells.
