Sažetak
In the last decade, growing ecological awareness and environmental concerns, actuated by legislative, ecological and economical driving forces, have given much more attention to the waste management and recovery. The management of all logistic activities related to the some form of recovery is the concern of evolved field of Reverse Logistics. Years of neglecting problems of waste in Croatia resulted in identifying a waste management as the biggest problem of environmental protection. New Waste Management Strategy in Republic of Croatia was developed, defining problems, priorities and measures to be taken in order to achieve sustainable waste management. A first step should be to determine the current state of waste management in Croatia – quantitative and qualitative parameters. With focus on products and materials intended to recovery, paper presents current state and trends in glass, plastics, paper and metal recycling.
