Sažetak
Natural rubber latex films were prepared by sulphur vulcanization. Four different accelerators were used: diphenulguanidine, zinc-2-mercaptobenzothiazole, their combination, and zinc-diethyldithiocarbamate. The influence of photooxidation on the physical properties of natural rubber is very complex. It is necessary to consider the characteristics of the different sulphur crosslink structures, degradation reactions during ageing, as well as the process of crystalization that occurs at higher extension ratios. In this work, the chemical and physical changes of vulcanizates during UV ageing were studied. The results show that different types of accelerators formed different crosslink structures. These structures influence changes in the vulcanizate properties during photooxidation.
