Sažetak
Trough analysis and synthesis of the performed comprehensive prospecting work in engineering geology and geotechnics at the dam sites of the HE LEŠĆE and HE LUČICE a contribution to the classification and categorisation of rock was worked out, with installation of a classification risk factor (R_C). A new classification "JAK", especially accustomedto limestone rock massifs, is worked out and shownin this paper. The analysis of the results indicates the conclusion that the classification must be made by all three procedures,and then it is possible to calculate the optimal values ("opt") for each tectonic block. On base of own research was for the dam site installed an asymmetry coefficient (K_A),which represents the relation between the awerage geometrical, engineering geological and geotechnical propertiesof the right and left bank. By means of examples in the paper is shown that even sufficient exploration, bat without an adequate analysis and defining the asymmetry coefficient, can cause the choice of an inadequate type of dam, for instance a gravitational dam instead of arch dam,or vice versa, what can essential influence on the rational management of the structure.
