Sažetak
Knitted fabrics can be produced on different machines that can create different patterns and fabric types so it is to expect from the fabrics to have different tactile qualities. The property described as “ handle” is important and widely used. It could be defined as the combination of stimuli subjectively derived from the tactile assessment of the mechanical properties of the fabric. For the investigation were used cotton yarns in counts of 12, 14 and 20 tex and Lycra 33 dtex. From the mentioned yarns were knitted single jersey fabrics on a circular knitting machine Relanit SE. In the process of knitting, the sinking depth and input tension were controlled. After the process of knitting, the fabrics were finished - optically bleached at 98° C, softened and finally dyed. The objective of the paper is to determine the influence of the cotton yarn characteristics to mechanical parameters of the raw and finished knitted fabric.
