Sažetak
In the paper Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technologies are presented. These are technologies used for broadband communication over copper twisted wires. The DSL family is described and the main properties for all types are given. Two of them, ADSL and VDSL, are similarly explained because of their significance in usage. The technologies are comparable and valuation based on transmission speed and occupied frequency spectrum is given. It is shown that the best of them for shorter distances up to 1.5km is VDSL and for distances up to 6km, ADSL should be used. Examples from everyday life for DSL application are given. Actual state and future predictions are considered.
