Sažetak
Samples of two species, Cobitis elongata Heckel & Kner, 1858 and Sabanejewia balcanica (Karaman, 1922) from the family Cobitidae, were collected from the Petrinjčica River in continental Croatia during 2005 and 2006. In addition to collecting fish samples, every month 3 replicate samples of macrozoobentos were taken with a surber sampler (33x33 cm and 250 mm mesh). In the laboratory further analyses were conducted. macrozoobentos density was calculated for the area of 1m2 and an analysis was conducted of fish stomach contents. During all months, the most dominant group of macrozoobentos was insect larvae, as was the case in the feeding of the analyzed fishes of the species Cobitis elongata and Sabanejewia balcanica.
