Sažetak
Charge symmetry, CS, is the invariance of the strong interaction under the interchange of up and down quarks. This property is the light-flavor symmetry of QCD. The QCD quark based definition of CS allows one to account for all cases of charge symmetry breaking (CSB), implying that CSB in nuclear and particle physics is due to the difference between the down and up quarks masses, delta m = m_d - m_u=3 MeV, and the non-equality of their electromagnetic interactions.
