Sažetak
We criticize the current paradigm of nuclear few-body physics, advocating a new view towards some of its traditional issues. As samples, we review the studies of nucleon-deuteron scattering and the triton binding energy. In the course of this we uncover indications that the role of three-body forces in three-nucleon systems may have been overestimatedin the past. We argue that high-precision three-nucleon scattering is one fruitful way to continue research on the two-nucelon force.
