Sažetak
Actinobacillus pleuropneumonia is present in all large pig breeding farms in Croatia, in peracute to subclinical forms. Since immunoprophilaxis is not conducted, latently infected animals could be detected by immunodiagnostic procedures. Serological diagnosis of actinobacillus pleuropneumonia was ued in croatia by means of 2-mercaptoethanol microagglutination till 1996, when ELISA was introduced. The ELISA for detection of antibodies against different serovars of A. pleuropneumoniae is a specific method for serological diagnosis of porcine pleuropneumonia at a farm level. The achieved results were in correlation with serotyping and toxin typing of field strains of A. pleuropneumoniae on that farms.
