Sažetak
In this paper we have dealt with the issue of the quality of particleboards for the production of furniture and equipping of interiors based on the results of the testing of particleboards during a six-year certification process at the Forestry Faculty in Zagreb, at the wood based panels lab. Since in the Republic of Croatia there exists only one producer of particleboards, the Croatian market is overwhelmed with imported panels. They are particleboards imported exclusively from the EU countries and from production plants that are in possession of the appropriate certificates from mostly prestige European test laboratories. This paper provides, based on genuine test results, the best response to the question of reliability of quality of particleboards imported into Croatia.
