Sažetak
The aim of this study was to assess if there was a significant difference between males and females for some dimensions of a face and central maxillary incisors. For this purpose two thousand individuals in the age from 18 to 24 years, with intact frontal teeth were measured by a precise calliper. There were 920 males and 1080 females. According to the statistical analysis it was concluded: 1. In the population studied the central incisor’ s width was smaller than in Anglo-Saxon Caucasians, in black race or yellow race. 2. Men had larger face and central maxillary incisors’ dimensions than women (p<0, 01), except for the maxillary central incisor’ s cervical width (p>0, 05). 3. Dimensions of the face length did not surpass ± ; ; 6% between gender, dimensions of the face width did not surpass ± ; ; 5%, dimensions of the maxillary central incisor width at the contact point level did not surpass ± ; ; 3% and dimensions of the maxillary central incisor width at the incisal edge did not surpass ± ; ; 4% between men and women
