Sažetak
A fully symmetrical high voltage quadrature LC oscillator has been implemented in the AMS 0.35-um CMOS process. Complementary cross-coupled PMOS and NMOS transistors enhance single-ended symmetry at each of the resonant nodes, reducing phase noise. Bond wires and leadframe are used as inductances to provide a resonant tank with high quality factor (Q). The influence of packaging on the oscillation frequency is investigated.
