Sažetak
The short term, systematic application of linco-spectin 44 premix over several years and to all age groups of pigs in Croatia had very little influence on bacterial resistance patterns, as verified by the above stated clinical and laboratory investigations. Even more importantly, the long term use of linco-spectin 44 premix resulted in greatly improved production results i.e. a 5.13% improvement in average daily gain and a 4.41% improvement in feed conversion ratio. The overall results of the present study suggest that the systematic administration of linco-spectin 44 premix permits control of the most important diseases of swine in the large production complex in Croatia.
