Sažetak
The paper deals with the problem of Zagreb waste disposal site Jakuševec. For almost 30 years the uncontrolled open dump has ben used. The composition and quantity of solid waste are determined. The measures for the reclamation of the site are considered and the proposition for the construction of the sanitary landfill is given. The role of the slurry trench cut-off wall and the system of discharge wells is pointed out from the geotechnical point of view. The results of illustrative numerical analyses are presented.
