Sažetak
Measurement data are often needed outside the process environment, for instance when publishing the data on the public Web server. Communication between publicly exposed Web server and process environment has security implications. In the application presented in this paper usage of the custom ASP.NET-based Web service as a secure means of transferring measurement data from data acquisition station to public Web server is described. The communication via Web service successfully avoids security threats and allows public Web server to be platform-independent. The measurement system and the Web service implementation details are also further elaborated.
